Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Notix ("we", "us") collects when you use the Notix mobile application (the "App"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from the identity provider. We never see or store your password.
- Your content. Notes you create, audio you record or upload, documents and PDFs you upload, links you paste, and the transcripts, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and chat conversations generated from them.
- Purchase information. Subscription status is processed by RevenueCat and Apple. We receive your subscription state (active plan, expiration) but never your payment details.
- Usage and diagnostics. We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymized usage statistics (screens viewed, feature usage) and crash reports (device model, OS version, stack traces) to improve the App.
- Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a device token via Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver them.
How we use your information
- To provide the App's core features: transcribing recordings, generating summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and answering questions about your notes.
- To sync your notes across your devices.
- To manage your subscription and enforce plan limits.
- To fix bugs, improve performance, and understand which features matter.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
AI processing
To generate transcripts, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and chat answers, your content is processed by third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf. Content is sent to these providers solely to provide the requested feature and is not used by us to train AI models.
Service providers
We share data only with the processors needed to run the App:
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — authentication
- Firebase (Google) — analytics, crash reporting, push notifications
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- AI service providers — transcription and content generation
- Cloud hosting providers — our servers and database, located in the United States
Data retention and deletion
Your content is stored for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the App (Settings → Account Details → Delete account). Your account and data are permanently deleted 30 days after the request; signing back in within that period cancels the deletion. You can also request deletion by emailing support@notix-ai.app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@notix-ai.app.
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Access to production systems is restricted and authenticated.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
